Our public sector client is seeking the expertise of an experienced GeoRisk Modelling Analyst to provide data analysis, advice and insights from loss modelling. The work you do will play a key role in delivering the loss modelling strategy and actuarial reporting.
  
Day to day you will analyse, interpret and translate large datasets into meaningful insights. You will develop, validate, and maintain risk and loss models, incorporating components such as exposure, vulnerability, and economic impact, to support accurate risk estimation and analysis.
  
As the subject matter expert on modelling and risk analytics, this is an opportunity for you to contribute to initiatives across the organisation and build strong trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • At least five years of data analysis and modelling experience, including experience in developing, validating and maintaining risk and loss models
  • Experience working with large datasets to analyse, interpret and translate data into meaningful insights for decision makers
  • Experience with technologies such as SQL and Python
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in mathematics, statistics, data science, or a similar field
  • A background in insurance or risk financing is preferred
